Nothing's growing or blooming, and it totally should be by now. A least just a little. The first day of Spring is officially this week, and it seems Winter is behaving like a three year old who doesn't want to go to bed. As soon as we think all is clear, there it is again, with another whiny excuse for why it's not ready to go down. Punxsutawney Phil totally screwed us this year.

STEP 1:
First, cut 3 sheets of tissue paper about 5 x 7 ” or so (you can just eyeball it). Begin folding the shorter end accordion style with folds about every 1/2 inch.

STEP 2:
Gather the center of the flower by wrapping a pipe cleaner around it, making sure to leave enough to create a stem.

Snip the ends of the tissue paper to make points to create a more fluttery edge for your petals once your flower is open.

Separate the layers of tissue paper one at a time, but be careful--tissue paper tears easily! And, voila! Gorgeous tissue paper flower!
