We got a little lucky today, or unlucky, depending on how you look at it. A couple inches of snow and everyone's on lockdown. For the middle of the week, it's a nice break.
The house was filled with giggles and squeals of excitement over the prospect of pulling on all of our snow gear and heading out for a little fun this morning.

We were immersed in a full fledged winter snow day experience and loving every minute of it. Until our wet gloves and socks emphasized the winter part. Cheeks were getting red, noses were slightly runny, and enthusiasm was quickly waning.
I took the wet and cold crew inside to warm the cockles of their hearts and to fill their bellies. Now with hot chocolate mustaches and blueberry speckled smiles, we're left wondering what to do with the rest of our day.
Movies and games and forts and dog barking and bear hunts and story time and running and shouting and dancing and sailing the high seas with pirates and singing and hosting princess parties and...and...jello. That should last us til noon, anyway.
