Well, if we can't yet enjoy the colors of Spring blooming outside, let's get color blooming inside by creating an indoor tissue paper garden with our little ones (who are probably just as done with winter weather as we are.) Follow these easy steps for your maintenance free indoor garden, taken from Inner Child Fun. Bring on Spring!
In only 4 easy steps!
First, cut 3 sheets of tissue paper about 5 x 7 ” or so (you can just eyeball it). Begin folding the shorter end accordion style with folds about every 1/2 inch.
Gather the center of the flower by wrapping a pipe cleaner around it, making sure to leave enough to create a stem.
Snip the ends of the tissue paper to make points to create a more fluttery edge for your petals once your flower is open.
Separate the layers of tissue paper one at a time, but be careful--tissue paper tears easily! And, voila! Gorgeous tissue paper flower!
